BBC South East News: Henry Webber

A short but interesting 2 min interview was broadcast on 20 August by BBC South East News about the bravery of Henry Webber who took part in the Great War and was killed on 21 July 1916, aged 67, and thought to be the oldest British serviceman to have died in active service.  Richard Olliver and David Hall are interviewed by BBC's Paddy O'Connell.  Henry Webber was the first Chairman of Horley Parish Council when it was formed in 1886.  Follow the youtube link to view the BBC news feature.  Further information about Henry Webber is viewable on page 119 of Men of Horley available from this website.
