Horley Carnival 7 June
Despite the torrential rain in the morning, the Horley Carnival was extremely well attended, in fact, by the end, no-one wanted to go home! The procession was terrific and the winning floats were as follows:
1st Southlands Church – The Lion King
2nd The Bull Pub – Quadrophenia
3rd Horley First School and the Rotary Club of Horley – Vikings
The Fancy Dress competition was won by the Labyrinth group from the Albert Road Sports and Social Club. I am attaching some photos of the winning floats
Mike George, Carnival Organising Committee Chairman, stated: "he had recieved a great deal of positive feedback from participants and visitors alike which made all the hard work worthwhile"
