Syd Fewtrell
It is with much sadness that we have to announce that Syd Fewtrell passed away on 19 January, after a short illness. Syd and his wife Joan lived in Horley for over forty years before moving to Devon six years ago to be closer to family. Syd and Joan were awarded Town Awards in 2000 in recognition of their tireless work for the community, in particular Neighbourhood Watch, Horley & District Police & Community Partnership, the Youth Community Centre and Strawson Hall. Syd was also very active in the Scouts for many years and was Chairman of the Reigate and Redhill Aquarist Society. Our thoughts are with Joan and her family at this sad time.
