Public Notice: Air Quality Monitoring Station Michael Crescent Centenary Park

 

Notice under Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 of the intended disposal of Open Space Land.

Notice is hereby given for the purposes of Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Horley Town Council, being the owner of the freehold parcel of land described below which is partly held and maintained as an air quality monitoring station, intends to dispose of the said land (described below as the Property) by way of a 25 year leasehold agreement to Reigate and Banstead Borough Council with the intent that the Property shall continue to be used as air quality monitoring station.

Description of the parcel of land

The land and buildings known as Air Quality Monitoring Station located in the Michael Crescent Centenary Park, RH6 8RJ (“the Property”). Further details of the Monitoring Station, including a plan showing the relevant part of the Property edged pink, can be found at Air Quality Monitoring Station Plan and may also be inspected at the Council Offices, 92 Albert Road, Horley, Surrey RH6 7HZ, during normal office hours by giving 48 hours’ notice.

Note: Any objections or representations with respect to the proposed disposal must be made in writing quoting the reference “Air Quality Monitoring Station” and may be sent by email to  info@horleysurrey-tc.gov.uk or alternatively, in the post for the attention of the Chief Executive Officer at Horley Town Council, 92 Albert Road, Horley, Surrey RH6 7HZ to be received no later than 5pm on 23 July 2026.
