Horley Town Council's Statement on Victoria Square Post Office Closure
Horley Town Council
News Update
June 2026
Horley Town Council is aware of the proposed closure of Morrisons Daily store and Post Office in Victoria Square, currently expected to take place no earlier than 17 July 2026.
The Council recognises the importance of Post Office services to residents, particularly given the limited banking facilities available in the town centre. We share concerns about the impact this closure could have on local residents and the wider community who rely on these services.
Horley Town Council is already in contact with Chris Coghlan MP’s office and will also be engaging directly with the Post Office to seek a suitable alternative provision for Horley town centre. We will continue to advocate for a solution that delivers convenient and accessible services for residents and businesses, alongside a comprehensive range of accessible facilities expected to be readily available within a commuter town, reducing the need to travel out-of-town for these essential services.
Further updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
