You may remember that a couple of months ago we ran a survey on how resident's would like to see Community Infrastructure Levy money spent.
'Horley Town Council has some funding from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) fund and we would like your views on how this money may be spent for the benefit of the community. Issues which are the responsibility of other tiers of Local Government that we can't spend CIL money on include: Refuse & recycling collections, Car Parks, Housing, Environmental Health, Schools, Highways, Libraries. The fund may be used on a broad range of facilities such as play areas, open spaces, parks & green spaces, cultural & sports facilities, and other Horley Town Council community facilies. Please indicate your priorities. '
Respondants were permitted mutiple choices, 131 people responded and the answers were broken down as follows
Communities Activities to Support Older People 18%, Play Equipment 14%, Fitness Equipment 8%, Roads & Community Safety Initiatives 20%, Greenspaces 18%, Environmental Projects 12%, Developing Accessible Faciltities for All Ages 13%

- Security Patrols in Parks
- Improved CCTV
- Develop Facilities at Bowls Club
- More Parking in Rec
- Lit Path to Bowls Club
- Sport Facilities
Answers given as 'Other' outside of Horley Town Council's remit:
- Clean Up of Town
- Road & Pavements
- More GPs & Dentists
- Shops
- Birchwood Surgery Carpark
- Extend Cycle Path from Westvale to Woodhatch
- Give it back as refund to C-Tax Payers
- Hockey Pitch
- More Secondary Schools
