REDEDICATION OF THE GARDEN OF REMEMBRANCE WEDNESDAY 5TH NOVEMBER 2025

The Garden of Remembrance will be rededicated by the local Clergy and opened by the Chair of the Horley Town Council at the War Memorial, Brighton Road, Horley at 11.00 o’clock.

Pupils from Oakwood School will place Remembrance Crosses in the Garden in memory of Horley Branch Members who passed away during the year.

Everyone is welcome to attend and may place their own Crosses of Remembrance in the Garden should they wish to do so.

 

 

 

HORLEY ROYAL BRITISH LEGION – REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE & SERVICE AT THE WAR MEMORIAL – SUNDAY 9TH NOVEMBER 2025

1020          Participants to assemble outside the Constitutional Club in Albert Road.

1025          The parade will form up in Albert Road and the High Street, the head of the parade will be at the junction with Consort Way.

1035          The parade will move off headed by the Redhill Corps of Drums Band, along Consort Way turning into VICTORIA ROAD, and will proceed across the traffic lights
                   into VICARAGE LANE where the Parade will break off and walk to the WAR MEMORIAL GARDENS.

                   Note: Members of the public are invited to join the parade at the rear of the parade, behind the Army Cadets contingent, if they wish. Members of the public
                   should not attempt to join in the main body of the parade.

10.58am         Introduction by the Chaplain, followed by the SERVICE, and the WREATH LAYING CEREMONY.

11.35am          The Parade will reassemble in VICARAGE LANE and return to the Albert Road Constitutional Club, via VICTORIA ROAD and TOWN PRECINCT for the SALUTE,
                          and finally ALBERT ROAD where the parade will be dismissed.

 

NATIONAL TWO MINUTES SILENCE – TUESDAY 11 NOVEMBER 2025

The National Two Minutes Silence will be observed in the HORLEY TOWN SHOPPING PRECINCT on Tuesday 11th November at 11.00 o’clock.

 

 

Everyone is welcome to join us in our annual act of remembrance, remembering all those who lost their lives in defence of the British Isles or fought and died overseas for their Country.
