REDEDICATION OF THE GARDEN OF REMEMBRANCE
WEDNESDAY 8TH NOVEMBER 2023
The Garden of Remembrance will be rededicated by the local Clergy and opened by the Chairman of the Horley Town Council at the War Memorial, Brighton Road, Horley at 11.00 o’clock.
Pupils from Oakwood School will place Remembrance Crosses in the Garden
in memory of Horley Branch members who passed-away during the year.
Everyone is welcome to attend and may place their own Crosses of Remembrance
in the Garden should they wish to do so.
NATIONAL TWO MINUTES SILENCE – SATURDAY 11TH NOVEMBER 2023
The National Two Minutes Silence will be observed in the HORLEY TOWN SHOPPING PRECINCT on Saturday 11th November at 11.00 o’clock.
HORLEY ROYAL BRITISH LEGION – REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE & SERVICE
AT THE WAR MEMORIAL – SUNDAY 12TH NOVEMBER 2023
1015 Participants to assemble at the Horley RBL Headquarters, Albert Road.
1030 The parade will form up in Consort Way West
1035 The parade will move off headed by the Redhill Corps of Drums Band, turning into VICTORIA ROAD, and will proceed across the traffic lights
into VICARAGE LANE where the Parade will break off and walk to the WAR MEMORIAL GARDENS.

Introduction by the Chaplain, followed by the SERVICE,
and the WREATH LAYING CEREMONY.

The Parade will reassemble in VICARAGE LANE and return to the Albert Road Sports & Social Club, via VICTORIA ROAD, TOWN PRECINCT and ALBERT ROAD where the parade will be dismissed.
PEOPLE OF ANY DENOMINATION ARE VERY WELCOME TO ATTEND
AND JOIN US IN THIS OUR ANNUAL ACT OF REMEMBRANCE
Everyone is welcome to join us in remembering all those who have lost their lives in defence of the British Isles or fought and died overseas for their Country.
