Cordoned Off Tree Court Lodge Fields
Users of Court Lodge Fields may have noticed that one of the oak trees has been cordoned off. Unfortunately we believe the tree has an infestation of oak processionary moth and it will remain fenced off whilst treatment takes place
Oak processionary moth is native to southern Europe that has become established in parts of London and its surrounds. Whilst it can defoliate oak trees the primary concern is the caterpillars hairs, these can cause irritation if in contact with human skin. The caterpillars should not be handled or approached
