‘Café In The Park’ Update – Horley Recreation Ground

Horley Town Council is delighted to advise that, based on the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown, the new Tenants (‘The Farmyard Kitchen’) plan to open for an initial takeout and outdoor service in the week commencing, 12th April 2021. All going well, it is hoped that a full service (including indoor) can begin from 17th May. Once all the restrictions are lifted as expected on 21st June, the grand opening of the Café will be arranged shortly after and further details will be provided in due course. Guidance on social gatherings will continue to be followed during the event for everyone’s safety.
The new, contemporary Café Pavilion offers a comfortable space and calm atmosphere where people can gather with family and friends to catch up over a coffee or a relaxed lunch or a delicious evening meal with wide-ranging menu choices. It also provides an impressive al fresco dining space to enjoy in fine weather with pleasant views out over the park. The operator has worked tirelessly to get their new business venture up and running. They have so many innovative ideas to maximise the benefits the Café has to offer as a popular new venue for the Horley community and visitors with an inviting message that everyone is welcome at ‘The Farmyard Kitchen …in the park’.
These are indeed exciting times ahead for everyone to look forward after a long awaited opportunity to get going and the level of community spirit shown by so many people to support this new facility for Horley is truly commendable.
Finally, a further note of thanks is extended to all residents and visitors for their continued co-operation in maintaining Government guidelines on the safe use of our play and recreational equipment at Horley Town Council parks and open spaces.
