Vacancies: Office of Town Councillor - Horley South Ward

April 2020

A vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Horley South Ward of Horley Town Council, caused by the resignation of Cllr Pamela Chandler, however this will not be formally advertised whilst Government measures to restrict the spread of the Coronavirus remain in place.

Furthermore, should a By-Election be called, current legislation would require any such election to be postponed until May 2021.  The vacancy will be formally advertised when it is practicable to do so, in the meantime Cllrs Samantha Marshall, David Powell and Rob Spencer continue to represent the Horley South Ward.  They, or any other members of the Town Council can be contacted by local residents and full details are available on the Horley Town Council website.

A further vacancy in the Office of Councillor for the Horley South Ward, caused by the resignation of Cllr Michael Robinson, is due to be filled by Co-option as soon as it is practicable to do so.
