HATS announce cancellation of St George's Day Celebrations

Message from Horley Association of Traders

Hello everyone

As we continue to monitor the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), it is with a heavy heart that the Horley Association of Traders (HATs) has taken the decision to cancel St. George’s Day scheduled for Saturday, 25 April 2020. As I'm sure you've seen, the UK Government has advised against mass gatherings requiring emergency services and to avoid gatherings and crowded places such as pubs, clubs and theatres as the virus continues to spreads. The Government has also said it will ask people in “at-risk groups” to stay at home for 12 weeks within the next few days.

Based on this information, we feel we have no other choice but to cancel our event and take the necessary steps to protect the health and safety of our friends, family and the community at large. In the meantime, HATs, which is a group of volunteers, will help the community where they can especially those who are in need of help at this difficult time.

As always, thank you for your ongoing support.

Stay well.

HATs
