Quality Status
Horley Town Council is pleased to announce that it is one of the first local councils in Surrey to obtain re-accreditation of its Quality Status for a further period of four years.
The award was given based upon a portfolio of strict criteria covering communications, accounts, meetings, electoral mandate, qualifications, the annual report and code of conduct. It also covered two new areas, promoting local democracy and citizenship, and member training.
Chairman and Town Mayor, Simon Marshall, said "I am proud and delighted that the examining panel has noted the excellent and sustained progress made by the Town Council. It underlines the commitment of our members and the professionalism of our staff in helping to provide the best possible and most cost effective services to the people of our town. We will continue to work closely with other authorities and agencies ".
