Surrey Structure Plan
Cllr Dr Andrew Kent, Chairman of the Planning & Development Committee and Cllr Michael Miller, will represent the Town Council at the Examination in Public at County Hall on Thursday 27 November. The Town Council has been selected to speak on Matter 5 (ii), which specially relates the question of adequate provision for housing in Surrey and specifically Horley’s “strategic allocation” of 2600 houses. In the light of new and emerging information on Horley’s floodplains, Horley Town Council will be questioning whether it is now possible to accommodate this level of development. The Structure Plan, when fully adopted, will set key local planning policy.
