The Town Council has been busy preparing the major revamp of its web site with a number of important changes. The site was officially relaunched on 13 November 2003. The new website has a number of important changes. News updates and press releases will be shown on its home page. The site will continue to provide up to date community information with its directory of all organisations and clubs in the Horley area. If any club or organisation would like their own entry with their web site link to appear on the Town Council’s site, then please contact Town Clerk, Alan Jones.
Next month, the second phase will include Council information, which will have been expanded to provide much more information. In line with the Council’s intentions to make its business and procedures more open, and to comply with the Freedom of Information Act, members of the public be able to research council minutes, browse forthcoming agenda, and scrutinise its financial accounts. Lastly a business section will be created in the New Year. Any local business may have their entry displayed on a business directory for a nominal sum, and subject to the council’s approval.
