Horley in Spring
We are pleased to announce that the Horley in Spring Competition for 2011 has been launched! We realise that the weather this year has been less than kind to spring gardens, nevertheless we hope that many of you will still be keen to enter.
This year we have two new categories.
The residential category has been split into "house" and "flats" sections and the non residential category has been split into "commercial" and "community".
Certificates will be issued for the winners and runners up in each class, as well as to the best newcomers. An entry form is available from the Town Council Offices and can also be downloaded from the website www.horleysurrey-tc.gov.uk. The closing date for entries is Friday 18 March. Judging will take place in late March or early April.
All results will appear in the local press and on the Town Council website.
Awards will be presented on a date to be announced.

South & South East in Bloom
Following our success last year with silver and silver gilt awards, Horley has once again entered the South and South East in Bloom Competition, due to take place this summer. We hope to have a record number of baskets and planters on display. If you or your company is interested in sponsoring baskets, planters or flower beds then please let us know. All sponsorships will be acknowledged in press releases, on notice boards, on our web site and in our Horley Highlights newsletters. We would also be more than happy to install plaques on any sponsored planters or beds.
