Walter (Wally) Jupp
The Town Council is extremely saddened to learn of the death of Wally Jupp.
Wally Jupp was a former Chairman and Town Mayor of Horley Town Council in 1974/75. He was presented with a Town Award in 2002 for his continuous and consistent support of the local community, including his work for the Citizens’ Advice Bureau and the Regent Hall Day Centre. It was awarded jointly to Wally and to his wife, Doreen.
Wally was also a former Mayor of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council in 1982/83. The Borough Council conferred the title of Honorary Alderman on 13 December 2001 in appreciation and acknowledgement of his eminent services to the Borough and its predecessor, and as an expression of the high esteem in which he was held.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Surrey & Sussex Crematorium, Balcombe Road, Crawley on Friday, 9 April 2010, at 12.45pm. It has been requested that donations should be made please to the British Heart Foundation as flowers are not desired. Funeral Directors are Stonemans, Reigate Road, Redhill.
