Working in partnership with Reigate and Banstead Borough Council the WEA are running a free workshop (via zoom) for East Surrey Volunteers.
The session focusses on helping volunteers to find the right balance between supporting people in need whilst at the same time helping them develop the skills towards independence.
Course content:
- How to support people to move towards independence.
- An introduction to mentoring
- Volunteering Boundaries- how to determine what level of support is appropriate and identifying when offering too much help may be counterproductive.
