Road Closures 16th June for Carnival

It’s Horley Carnival Day on Saturday (16th June) and hopefully the weather will be set fine!! The theme this year is “Heroes and Villains”.

The Carnival Ground opens at 12.00 noon with a programme of events running through to 5.00pm

The Carnival Procession will be moving off from the Victoria Road Car Park at 12.30 turning into Massetts Road before taking a left into Russell Crescent.

Having gone down Russell Crescent it will turn left up Victoria Road and proceed through the town centre and on down to the A23, where it will turn right before entering the Recreation Ground.

A “Rolling Road Closure Program” will be in place on the day with all side roads and junctions on route subject to controlled closures for the obvious Health & Safety reasons.

We hope to limit the inconvenience but seek everyone’s cooperation and patience, as the safety of the participants has to be our priority.

It is planned that the Procession will start to enter the Recreation ground at about 1.10, so the inconvenience will hopefully be kept to a minimum.
