Uber: Statement from RBBC

Statement from Reigate and Banstead Borough Council:
Uber to vacate Horley High Street car park

Uber’s contract with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council to use spaces in Horley High Street has been terminated and they will be vacating the car park by 15 December. The car park will then return to full public use.

The Council has been in discussion with Uber for some time regarding the company securing new waiting arrangements outside of the borough for their partner-drivers awaiting Gatwick fares.  We are pleased this has now come to fruition.

Uber will be responsible for removing their facilities and the Council has already arranged for the car park markings to be amended. Car park signage will be updated in due course. We would like to thank residents for their continued patience in this matter.
