The Horley Branch of the Royal British Legion will mark the 70th anniversary of the Victory in Japan Day by holding an open air service at the War Memorial starting at 11am on Saturday 15th August 2015.
Afterwards, participants will be invited to make their way back to the Horley town centre precinct where there will be stalls and entertainment.
The following organisations will be invited to lay wreaths:-
The Royal British Legion
The Women’s Section of The Royal British Legion
The Royal Naval Association
The Royal Artillery Association
The Royal Air Force Association
Horley Town Council
Reigate & Banstead Borough Council
Surrey Army Cadet Force
Members of the public who wish to plant crosses will also be invited to do so.
