The results of this year’s Horley in Bloom Competition are as follows:

Residential Front Garden Winner: Avis Ayling, 2nd Place: Mr E Siseman, 3rd Place: Vera Norman

Residential Hanging Basket Winner: Avis Ayling, 2nd Place: Sarah Branwhite, 3rd Place: Susan Dyke

Community Garden Winner: Delta House, Runner Up: Wykeham

Cottage Garden Winner: Frank Good, Runner Up: St Wilfreds Church

Commercial Winner: The Kings Head, 2nd Place: The Air Balloon, 3rd Place: The Coppingham Arms

Commercial Hanging Basket Winner: The Kings Head, Runner Up: The Coppingham Arms

Guesthouse/B&B Winner: The Lawn Guesthouse

Residential Back Garden Winner: Mabel Clackson, 2nd Place: Mr L Cooper, 3rd Place: Mr E Siseman

Best Newcomer from all the above Categories: Mr L Cooper, Special Award: The Renaissance London Gatwick Hotel

The Allotments are due to be judged in August and Court Lodge in Colour was being judged as we went to press. The results for the both these categories will be published in the next edition of Horley Highlights.

Thank to you everyone who took part in this year’s competition which marks the 10th Anniversary of Horley in Bloom.

Horley Town Council would like to especially thank The Renaissance London Gatwick Hotel which has kindly agreed to sponsor the Awards evening. This will take place on September 30th. Invites will be sent out nearer the time to those who have taken part in this year’s competition. There will also be some special awards to mark this year’s 10th Anniversary which will be announced at the Awards Presentation.
