Emlyn Meadows Improvements

At the Leisure & Amenities Committee meeting on Tuesday 17 March, a number of improvements at Emlyn Meadows were discussed including the concept of establishing a nature trail there.

The Town Council has consulted the Horley Crawley Countryside Project for their advice on the matter. Councillors will discuss the matter in detail with HCCP Project Manager, Pete Crawford, who will be making a detailed presentation on 6 April.

Prior to the project start up, it is envisaged that consultation will be carried out with a number of organisations including resident’s associations, local schools and the Environment Agency. Grass cutting (in an area to be identified) will be suspended over the forthcoming months while we hope to establish the types of wild plants which may exist but have been prevented from flourishing.

Further information will be released when the project is launched.
